Onwards and Upwards for the Love in between SPLIT and TILTED DISCO after a second superb night. Everyone was left wanting more. ORLANDO VOORN had earlier debuted to a packed main room, commenting that we ‘Had a great thing going’. STEVE STRAWBERRY tried to extend the morning well into the daylight but security forced him off the dex at 0630am trying to follow ROBERT HOODs tearing closing set. Second room was rammed all night thanks to BEN SIMS and SURGEONs FREQUENCY 7 3.5 hour faultless display [which is available for download on the SPLIT site due to much demand!!]
This coming 30th May 2008 sees SPLIT & TILTED DISCO continue the theme of festivities, inviting Spain’s OSCAR MULERO for a rare london performance, arguably the finest deckster in Spain, rocking the crowds in Espania for many years with his tight, funk driven, tough edged sounds and Germanys masked wizard of heady electronics, REDSHAPE plays live after many requests from our members. SPLIT Resident BEN SIMS will indulge in a main room set as well as heading up his ESSEX RASCALS and dominating room 2 with a more eclectic choice of tunage and paying tribute to the recent passing of uk dj hero FROGGY, with a selection of the funkiest, dirtiest, soulful beats this side of NYC. Described as ‘one of the best live sets of the circuit..’, 65D MAVERICKS NICK DUNTON will drive up the temperature in Room 1 and drop all sorts of electronic futurism in his much welcome return and armed with a laptop, turntables and, of course, his trusty Revox B77 reel-to-reel old hacienda resident GREG WILSON gives an new electro soul funk tinged flavour to proceedings going head to head with the mighty rascals in room 2. TILTED DISCOs ever present resident STEVE STRAWBERRY will warm things up for our headliners, sharing the limelight with TILTED DISCOs new resident PAULA COUGHLAN and veteran SPLIT resident ALEX DOWNEY, the master of the mood set.
