**** Beatport.

Overpriced and not imo user friendly.

I shop at Boomkat, Addictech and occassionally on JunoDownload.

Those 3 do package deals for the whole EP/release.

Where is a good place for a ton of good techno. I can find plenty of places that sell tech house and minimal but I'm after harder stuff.

Radial, D.A.V.E, May etc...

emusic.com is surprisingly good for techno. trackitdown.net is good too, and detroitdigitalvinyl.com for submerge releases

beatport

Its cheap - plenty of tracks $1.49
Half the price of some of the other sites.

I resent being charged the price for a physical release by a digital download site. There's just no need, and I worry its just stunting the growth of the legit download scene, pushing otherwise paying customers towards soulseek et al.

How is Beatport cheap exactly?

Beatport costs 1.49 USD
Track it down costs 3USD

That makes it cheap

Although I have a feeling it costs more in the UK...

Yeah Beatport charge in pounds for UK customers plus they have the £1 handling fee for Wav's which is frankly a piss take.

Hmmm. That sucks

Wish they'd stop being suck greedy ****ers. Be better for everyone to sell 100 for a dollar than 10 for a pound

emusic want me to register before browsing. Hmm...

if you've got a fairly broad taste in music, it's worth registering on emusic. it's only independent labels, no majors (or subsidiaries). lots of very interesting stuff.

when i registered (a while ago now), they were giving away 25 free downloads... can't say no to that!
