As much as I want it too, I doubt it will come back in a big way, yet. 2005 probs be massive year for hard trance... as hard style will keep going I reckon for 2004. I also reckon uplifting trance will have a cracker in 2004, seeing that it finished 2003 in style.
Seems that people either go Hard Style or Uplifting at the moment and this leaves Hard Trance forgotten sort of. Cause labels like Blutonium, who used dish out great hard trance have committed to hard style it will be up to the labels to switch back to producing what the used to do, I guess.

I heard scot project on new years day, and he played about 6 new tracks of his... a couple were a bit anthemish.. but there were at least 3 that were ****in class i tell u.. with more driving tech percussion.
Mad german breakdowns, that sent peeps balistic when he was on...
Think its gonna be a class year personally!

Think tbh, they ave suffered the same fate as everyone else, and found there stuff towards the end of the year boring!
Id love to see all the bouncey Fog Area type off stuff come back again!!

i'm new on here and i would like to say i ****in hope so!!!!!!
there is very little top quality hard trance coming out now-a-days. trance seems to be coming back and hopefully Hardstyle will only be a fad and die out sooooooonnnnnnnn for various reasons!
1>it all sounds the same.
2>everyone just samples each other tunes
3>and it's just plain boring!!! the riffs are pants, and if they aren;t they're those horrible squeaky hoover type sounds!! it's jsut harder hard house in my opion.
i personally think the older style hard trance (second trip, somebody, unix type stuff is far better than the new stuff.
just my opion though!
yeah im with ya there man. damn fu ckin right. hardstyle is wank.

some if the early HS stuff was ok.
i find it's a very limited style of music. there is only so much stuff u can do with high pitched sounds. i like some of the basses and the perc but then the breaks are always a let down and when they kick in it's like marching music.
very few HS tracks i hear have got a driving perc to carry it along and it just thumps.
i hear a lot of it too, cos my house mate loves the stuff!
i play odd bits of tracks now and again as fill tracks. normally play about 2 mins of them b4 the break to build a set up a level as the basses are always hard, then take it out b4 the bunkness appears!
the only way i think hard trance will return is if producers try and be more creative and don't just re-work the same old riffs with only minor changes. there's so much scope for hard trance tunes, but no-one seems to want to exploit it!
