he's japanese. he's a very good dj. he's a very good producer. he has been around for many many years. he has many aliases - FLR probably the most famous of them. what else is there to know?

imho Everyone goes on about ken ishi but personally i never see what the attraction is.. not really into any of his stuff.. from the japanese end i'm far more into co-fusion and some of kagami's stuff... Also rebus tape put out a couple of great tracks

first time i've heard of him, just picked up some album from 1995 off ebay and wondered if he was okay.

problem on here, too many techno snobs.

last year i hadnt heard of speedy j, and everyone took the piss out of me.

coz that was hilarious:lol:

yes well i also felt very small, embarrassed and humiliated about it.

i knew of artists like Beltrum, Frank De Wulf, Eatstatic, FSOL in the 90s.

i then got into acid techno and heard of the suf lot.

then i got into stuff by steve stoll, and felt a burk for not having listened to any surgeon b4, and thinking Speedy J, was some bouncy, phet head dj.

stuff you take for granted maybe people new to techno don't know much about.

Saw him play at split not long ago.
Not terribly impressed, played a few old hardcore tracks in there, they were the only ones that got the crowd going.

Hard to compete with the Advent and Ben Sims on the same bill though...
