can anyone recommend any good reads on synthesis, specifically looking for info on what characteristics make up different real world instruments.

and anything on atmospheric pad creation from scratch.

yeah mate, i got that how to make a noise book and it's good, taught me alot, but you need certain plugins to do the turorials, so make sure you have them...

@Mark EG - yeh looks like i got to have vanguard for the tutorials, isnt that one of reasons native synths? i'm ****ed if it is

Vanguard is not made by the propellerheads.

there are a lot synths which can do similar to vanguard.
