OVERVIEW:
America's next generation of techno producers make their Droid debut
on this release. Dustin Zahn who has reincarnated himself from the
stone cold sounds of labels such as Compound to the powerful more
refined style of his current releases on Drumcode and Mindshake turns
in one hell of a dark builder for this release. Analog God starts off
with a sharp rhythmic snare and rim shot combo and just the right
amount of Tresor style synth menace for a viciously addictive groove.
Kyle Geiger, also from the next breed of Drumcode, keeps things just
as tough and energetic on his mix with focus more on flanged synth hit
and double bass action destined to keeps things hype.
Droid's duo de force Drumcell and Audio Injection turn out a mix that
is not for the faint of heart. Their version contains trademark
elements of any epic Droid release...a larger the life breakdown with
a no nonsense drum track.
Decimal's mix takes Zahn's rimshot / ride cymbal groove and
reconstructs it into a funked up pristine version of the original.
Tiny spatial environments wash across the track and capture similar
darks vibe along the remixes.
*Dustin Zahn VIP MIX......this secret weapons is a hard as nails dj
tool...stripped down repetitive and super hypnotic.

to keep them interesting. My picks of the lot are the original and the Drumcell mix, both of them very tight.
