Trance Production Filez

This is where producers from the Trance Production forum can post links to their unsigned tracks for feedback (positive or negative). Constructive critisism is the ethos here. This is about helping people on their quest for a better sound. If you have nothing constructive to say, please do not reply.

Its a big help if you state what style the file is in the subject name.

[TRANCE]
[HARD TRANCE]
[HARDSTYLE]

etc

its a shame you cant have an option were you select the genre that suits the post the most though a tick box thing or something befoer posting then it displays it in a column next to the post subject

yeah sweet idea, is it not possible , can you make your own buttons ,

or do like the POLL Menu !

- TRANCE
- HARD TRANCE
- TECHNO
- CLASSICAL

as you would in voting on a poll !

have a permanent poll , when posting your mix / tune

i'm not going to agree with louk and wez on this. i think the brackets look much better. i really do. i can see what style the track is immediately and then look across and see the artist. it's so much easier, surely?

i'm not to keen on the new way at all - way too confusing without the brackets.

MARKEG
12-01-2004, 10:33 AM
i do think a gap between the last bracket and the first letter of the artist would be better though.

can that idea be done mark ,

say , im going to upload a tune of hard trance , click HARD TRANCE poll kind of thing , and it sets it for you !

save going through and ammending !

just an idea peeps ,

the brackets worked , just looked a bit to in me face !

only an opinion !

maybe if it was liek this

Artist - Name of track/ Mix - Style

Ie Louk - Louk's Tune - Hard Trance

That'd be better in my opinion but you're the boss mate...! :)

Louk

thing is for easy browsing, especially of the older files the style being at the very beggining of the post is needed imo so you can just scan down and find what your into.

I have been thinking though, if you go on forums like computer music or something as there centered around actual music production the files sections are very busy, so people posting there give a good short catchy description of the type of track, perhaps this would work? i dunno

For example -Hard twisted trance with a dark edge- just a thought, what do you guys think? i mean the artist isnt much of a priority in the topic title as it will 9/10 be the person how posted the original topic and will be displayed next to the post title .

Perhaps a catchy descrption that contained enough to describe the style would work better in attracting people to listen to the files also ?

again just an idea, tell me what u think

Just another thought, if people want feedback, ask for it. Rather than just saying here's a mix I did.
I personally find it difficult to comment when the person hasn't specifically asked for feedback as I may be offending them.
:eh: :?: Anyone agree... ...disagree?

The problem I have is that I am kind of unsure of the difference between trance and techno these days...

So therefore I'm going to have to post my track on both bits of forum and ask people to decide what it is......... :rambo:

Why did you post in here? I don't understand what you just said :?: :eh:

EmotionComplex
28-07-2005, 09:45 PM
i think he thought this was the section for ppls info and didnt realise its a info post about this section.

but anyway, NFP dont stop posting your stuff mate, ppl wont be pissed off with you just because you post a lot of tracks here, infact thats what id want to see more of in this part of the forum, more music!.

but like ive said i do think that if you spent longer on your work the results would be much better, perhaps instead of doing a track a day maybe start spending 2-3 days or even a week on the whole process, i think youd find your stuff would begin to take a step up if you gave your music more time.

the thing that i love about making my own music is the progression, i find im allways learning things and i can allways look back a month and notice an improvement in what im doing now. but if your allways giving the minimal amount of time to something then your going to move forward much slower.

but like i said, keep posting your music as i will allways listen to stuff when i have spare time :)
