THE TALK >>>>>>>>>

Welcome to PRESENT...providing Manchester with a BIG ol' session of proper electro & techno every three months. It is held at the newly improved JABEZ CLEGG: two big, dark rooms air-conditioned by immense sound systems specifically designed by BLACKA ACOUSTICS. Blacka Acoustics are Mancunian legends and are best known for taking care of some of the systems at the huge DPERCUSSION Manchester festivals in recent years.

Come with us into a world of heavyweight partying & smiles all round as we PRESENT to you some of the UK's greatest electro artists on Manchester's very own BASS GUN RECORDS. Joining them by the hip are two heroes of the electro & techno scenes: DJ 3000 & BASS JUNKIE.

After some hugely successful outings at THE WAREHOUSE PROJECT, we are inviting back to Manchester the Detroit-based label UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE via DJ 3000. DJ 3000 has been part of the influential UR mob since 2001. Representing from that day forth, Franki AKA DJ 3000's Albanian edge has delivered some of the most evolved Techno on the scene yet. He's come a long way from the 'young budding DJ' who worked at the Submerge Records store in Detroit!

The whispers are that he's dustin' off some old electro for a one off special set.....

Our second headliner is BASS JUNKIE; an electro producer who's done wonders for the UK electro scene, casting a shadow of dark machine-funk over many a happy party-posse. His solid, true-skool releases for BREAKIN', BATTLE TRAX & other labels have always been ones for the express checkout.

As a special treat for the first PRESENT night, we have EXCLUSIVE PREVIEWS of the first three ARTIST ALBUMS on BASS GUN RECORDS from PAUL BLACKFORD, SYNAPSE & SMASHBACK. Each artist will perform a ONE HOUR LIVE SET, incorporating new tracks from their forthcoming albums - NOT TO BE REPEATED...NOT TO BE MISSED!!

Joining the already jam-packed metrolink of a lineup will be Newcastle's finest DARKMODE, performing a LIVE techno & electro set. ALTA EGO big cheese LARRY CAVELLE will DJ his socks off with a quality selection of techno blessings. Party beast DJ MOSSMAN (AUDIO AUBERGINE) promises to throw eclectic mash-up beats out of his magical laptop of eternal stench.

We would also like to PRESENT some of Manchester's greats: Dark lover GLOVER (DATA-TRACE records), EASTERN BLOC's friendly shop assistant MARK 'TURBO' TURNER, and eclectic boy-wonder JACK HAIR BRAIN.

Had enough, or are you thirsty for more? BASS GUN RECORD's art collective CHUMP will be running a stall throughout the night selling EXCLUSIVE merchandise from themselves and BASS GUN. T-Shirts, prints, CDs, stickers: you name it they'll probably sell it!
