Not sure if you already know about this - i was looking through wikipedia and i came across a section called wikirecording where you can read good info on all mannor of topics to do with recording techniques.
also if you create an account you can also edit something if you think it is wrong or incompleat.
just thought i'd mention it - would be a good place for all the ppl here to pass on the valuable information you all have stored in your heads
