Abstract present NYE 2008/9 White and Gold Ball "Rio Style" 8pm-6am plus Abstract Afters 6am-2pm.
Join us this New Year's Eve at Egg as abstract is joined by Jungle Drums the No.1 Brazilian Magazine in London with their Sambatralia Promotion, alongside special guests Bodyrox & DjumaSoundSystem and some of London's best DJs and Promotions.We will be transforming the Egg into a scene from Rio on New Years Eve. In Rio everyone dresses to impress in fabulous whites, we hope you can join in the fun with your party friends as we attempt to create our first memorable and magical New Year’s Eve party in London.
Rita Monteiro will be hosting from Sambatralia in the Big Top Tent in the Egg Garden with DJs Limão, D.Vyzor from Guanabara, Human Factor from Sunrize Recordings & Ben Samba from the World Percussion Sessions, also a Live band Roda de Coco will be on percussions with genuine authentic fully costumed up Brazilian dancers, visuals will be supplied by VJ O Cangaceiro!
Size Doesn’t Matter DJs Mr Shiver, J1200 & Simon Kurrage will then take over the decks in the Garden with their new Flashlight brand playing an eclectic mix of Grooves to make you move covering all genres of House, Funk, Disco, Old Skool & 80’s.
Nick Bridges from BodyRox & Steve Smart (Kiss FM) will be joined in the EGG Terrace by our abstract favourites Lee Dagger aka Bimbo Jones from Tommy Boy Records, Femi B from Peppermint Jam, Positiva & Pacha Records and Nippa Downey who is part of the Audio Pimps. Alongside the Funkinism & Frisky DJs.
Lars Bjarno & Mikkas Skulstad from Djuma Sound System on the Get Phsical Record Label will be performing an excluseive Live set and will be joined by head honcho Shane Watcha from Zombies Ate My Brain. Also in the room will be Stathis Lazarides & Betoko from Rhythmatic, last but not least joining these fantastic perfomers will be Rich NXT from Sports Rave & D Late and French Egg favourites La Rue & Babar.
Live Tech Rebels will hosting the Egg Loft with their Excuse The Mess favourites including Russel Caten from Neon, Nick Maleedy from Pulp Sessions, Jasmine Childs from Dice, Şahin Meyer & Cleb M.
In The Apothecary Gareth Wylde, JayJay Christopher, Chris Peinado & D.A.F (Sick On The Dancefloor), Alex Hero, Farsarelli, Tom Huddart, Danny C & Stevie T (Shameful), Jeff Downton, Eddie Santos & Kuency (Dity Stop Outs)
