So i had a chance to finish those questions with Joris and thanks for those on BOA who suggested which questions to ask. Please click the above link for the Q&A.

For those who are too lazy to read, a few interesting things to note:

1. His thoughts on "minimal"

2. His thoughts on software technology in the music making process (he very much seems to embrace technology rather than resist it like much of the old school guys)

3. The sound he wants to push in the future, and whether "techno" is relevant to him any longer.

In terms of the definition of techno. I think it is really hard to define it these days. Some of the sub-genre's you can easily clasify but for techno itself everyone has a different perspective of what it is nowadays.

Ex: Some of the housier stuff is being defined as techno and vise versa.
