Maybe cheaky putting this here, but there is some acid techno on this release:tongue:

Finally the relaunch of DB Records.
After a break of a year, caught in a loop of live pa gigs, setting up the mastering business, and focusing more on the Voidloss project, the time has come for DB Records to strike back.
The label will continue it`s legacy of before, mixing the underground, with the more commercial, uplifting side of techno, with an overall output aimed at the more party head environment.

The promo blurb

Finally, the much anticipated 8th release from DirtyBass Records has arrived.
Never one to knock out releases for the sake of it, Dirty B has invested a long time since the last release honing his skills at rocking the dancefloor all over the world with his Live PA's.
Finally, many miles down the road, 4 absolutely devastating floor fillers have been chosen from the extensive library of tunes from the live PA.
All these tracks are tried and tested floor fillers, all with different approaches to making people go crazy-aid-bonkers on the dancefloor.
With the legacy of the track "Rock the show" from the last EP still being used by DJ's on the dancefloor as a sure fire peak set stormer, Dirty B needed something equally insane for this release.
And whilst all 4 tracks on this ep will smash your crowd apart *guaranteed* , the lead track "Lord of Bass", is truly the master. It has been proven to work again and again on dancefloors, when the insane break finally explodes into the roaring bassline and screaming synths, the crowd goes nutso every time. This track will not only wake the dead, it'll have them dancing on the rooftops!!!
Dirty Bass does it again, and is now wanted in over 13 countries by the international bassbin police for grevious speaker damage!

I am quite eager to get some new, forward thinking party style techno from other artists on the label now.
If you think you have something that makes the mark and is of professional standard, then contact me via myspace or

dirty-bass-records AT londontechno.co.uk

Releases will be fairly regular, with a 6-8 week schedule as long as the standard of music is there to allow that to happen.

Ta Maestro

I`m quite partial to the ridiculously cheeky bassline on Divide and Conquer from Damaged Trax meself. Utter wobbly nonsense in a good way.
Once again is maniacally ravey too!

But it`s there anyway.

Highly unlikely, I simply don`t have the time or the madness to invest in pressing my own vinyl any more, as I have my mastering business, and 2 other labels to also focus on.

If anyone knows of any distros doing decent P&D deals I might try that, but otherwise, it isn`t happenin`

Hahaha.
I love call to prayer at mosques, the sound when it echoes out over a city is something very beautiful, beautiful and austere.

Rog

Adey

'experimental' is a big stretch of the term. much less cut and pasta. well done.

The_Laughing_Man
26-02-2009, 08:27 AM
Well, we did consider just releasing records of the electrical noise my reel to reel makes when it hasn`t been cleaned properly blended with the sound of a korean school girl being raped by a bear, but unfortunately when we played it live at a techno gig, people threw black pudding at us for a full hour.

So we decided to release a bit of techno instead.

Cut and paste is subjective, cheers, but I don`t consider the really quite unreleasable stuff I make in the studio for my own pretencious self explorative wanking any more valid than the fun time acid mallarky, I make and release whatever the phuck I like on my labels, whenever the phuck I feel like it, for no other reason than my personal enjoyment
.
One day it might be 125 bpm dark industrial electronics with vocals covering poncey subjects such as existential angst and the nature of reality relating to the philosophy of Dzogchen Buddhism
http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/212825-01.htm

the next it might be really commercial house with sounds from a porno
http://www.junodownload.com/ppps/products/1354478-02.htm

What`s the difference?

I care equally about both

I`m not into what SUF is doing now that much, but I respect them for doing their own thing and sticking to it, and making it a success through hard work, and I certainly don`t come into an acid techno forum and constantly moan and bitch about the state of the music without at least trying to offer some input in return, at the very least.

It does what is says on the tin. Pretty effectively too, judging by the amount of fans they still have.

Did SUF ever claim to be making progressive experimental acousmatic (look it up) sound intended to induce a Gnostic state?

When I drink a shot of vodka I don`t go and complain to the barman that it hasn`t changed my entire perspective on the post modern new romantic art of Gerhard Richter.

Know what I mean?

to do it permanently smacks of someone abusing their own position of power for their own ego needs.
