EVENTS LICENSE APPROVED!
The Human Shield Warehouse Party was concieved to offer an alternative to the current club scene of Manchester, bringing a fresh approach to staging a killer party. A world apart from the traditional club venue, the event will be held in a fully licensed secret warehouse location in the everchanging Ancoats area. The site will be fully transformed through advanced sound and light setups and will feature a bar serving interesting and affordable booze (with no cans of Budweiser in sight).
Although the Human Shield event is fully legal, keeping with the back to roots vibe, the location of the event will be revealed on the day through a partyline mobile number 07786706854 and on the label website www.humanshield.co.uk.

DJ Stingray: Considered by those who know to be the remaining piece in the mysterious Drexciya puzzle, Detroit based producer DJ Stingray is known for his hyper speed electro and snapping machine beats that settle somewhere between inhuman machine rigidity and soulful human input. He has released his music through labels as diverse as MoWax, Rephlex and Clone, a testimony to his widespread appeal amongst the aficionados and his legendary status in the electronic music scene.
Convextion - LIVE: Hailing from the unlikely environment of Dallas in Texas, Convextion is best known for producing some of the finest, most respected and soulful techno and electro known to man. His distinctive style, likened to that of Maurizio and Basic Channel, is held in high esteem with his rare releases as Convextion and E.R.P. on the likes of Matrix and Downlow being incredibly rare and difficult to track down.
Rob Hall: Rob Hall is one of Manchester’s finest exports. The highly talented DJ and occasional Gescom collaborator has developed a strong reputation over the years through extensive worldwide touring with Autechre, his vital input to the Skam imprint and regular appearances at Sequence. Most recently, Rob has followed in the footsteps of Luke Slater and Marcel Dettmann, taking up a residency at Berlin’s infamous Berghain club playing for the Leisure System event.
Human Shield: The Human Shield collective of Peter Mangalore, Ali Renault and Tommy Walker III normally release records, but fed up with listening to everyone moan about the state of the club scene in Manchester they have taken matters in to their own hands. Assisted by Peter’s promoter/production manager girlfriend Gina Hewitt, they hope to give Manchester a night to remember.
