Heading the bill this week… James Talk
With admires, fans and followers including Sasha, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Pete Tong, Steve Lawler and Nic Fanciulli, James Talk has far surpassed the future hero status and has firmly implanted his name as the one of the scenes most influential producers and DJs. James produces his tracks based around his love for acid house, fused with a popularly heard techno roll creating fun, energetic and groovy style which earned him DJ Mag’s Breakthrough Artist by Nic Fanciulli, Sander Kleinenberg and Fergie. His work alongside Audiofly on ‘Cool Wet Grass’ was signed to Get Physical whilst ‘Eggs Are Cute’ became one of the most successful releases on the Nu-Republic label. James has since launched his own label ‘Spoken Recordings’ which is an outlet for his own material, and his releases ‘Remote’, ‘Warm Milk’ and ‘Pass Me The Suntan Lotion’ have cemented the label’s position as one of the most exciting new monikers on the market. This, added to his remix work has made him one of the hottest engineers of music today and an honour to feature on the show.
Supporting James will be the boys from Ireland… Psycatron.
These lads first came to our attention when we were forwarded on a hot EP by label manager at Rekluse which instantly caught our eye. Their mix features parts and loops for no fewer than 42 tracks, and certainly is a stormer at that. For the past six years they've held one of the most prestigious residencies in Ireland at the world famous Shine in Belfast, as well as it's sister club The Stiff Kitten. This has led to them supporting some of the biggest names in electronic music including Carl Cox, Groove Armada, Dave Clarke, Erol Alkan, Christian Smith, Radio Slave, Sebastian Leger, Boyz Noise, Fergie, Slam, James Zabiela, Sander Kleinenberg, Steve Lawler. Yet another exclusive for Clubbed Up Radio… and another great addition to the podcast selection.
As usual the show will be hosted by Danny Roberts & James Burn who will talk you through the weekends clubbing movements and beyond as well as any other juicy clubbing gossip and rumours that have been floating around recently.
