I myself don't have this problem luckily...
But 2 of my friends do!!
There is a little "bubble" on the vinyl if you look closely.
I guess it was a pressing defect...

yeah your right mate, ive just had a look at the vinyl and there is the little bubble.
its a beast of a tune as well.............gutted :(

yup... cluster 52. right before the first mini breakdown.... pisses me right off.
it's a pressing defect, which is weird... usually curve pusher kicks ass.
hopefully just a one off thing and it doesn't happen again.
i just play the track after the first breakdown.... sucks, but what can you do.

oh my god this is terrible
first i heard about this was last week. i think a faulty batch must've gone out. nightmare!!!!
there really is nothing i can suggest - it's not our label. so, so sorry.
don't worry - we'll work on something better for next time instead :D

it is a wicked track!!! thank god it just happens at the beginning of the track so i can still play 80% of the tune.
no big deal...

right i got my third copy through today and guess what it still jumps :(
its gettin beyond a joke now.
02-02-2003, 09:40 PM
mate i best think you'd be contacting truelove..
03-02-2003, 07:06 AM
yeah my 3rd copy finaly doesn't skip
but it took me going to 2 the beat records in toronto and going through 12 copies to find one that doesn't skip
the bubble is still there but it's very very faint.
03-02-2003, 09:49 AM
ive tried gettin throught to truelove but no joy set
il keep trying and hopefully they might have a copy that does not jump.
I thought mine was OK until I played it out on Saturday, and it jumped badly mid-mix  . Still got a strong reaction though, so just proves it's a blinder.

god imagine how bad that is for us??!!!!!! you spend ages getting a track down and then at the final stage that is beyond your control it can get messed up!!! grrrr....
lif eis cruel sometimes
aaah! just bought this one from camden lock the other day, aint had a chance to have a listen yet so i don't know if i'll have the same problem!
i got this tune and my is OK.

Try fiddling around with the weights on the deck arms, mine skipped in the same way but after a few minutes of mucking about with these I don't have the problem anymore. Played it out as well and there's no problem there!

Sorry to be another bearer of bad news but I managed to pick up a copy of your Submissions 2 (wicked release and best submisssions yet) at last but every record in Bangin' Tunes was warped really badly. James in the shop said the term is called "coned". He thinks they were not left to cool off before going into sleeves which has caused the problem. I still bought it and can play it OK as long as i'm not too heavy handed with it on the a-side.
