ive noticed when trying to tune the laptop up tht without there being any programs running or windows opened tht my CPU usage is more thn half and tht there are 50 odd processes...

any help on how to sort this? ive disabled the likes of media player etc on start up but am no really sure what a can touch and what i cant

also when in my task manager and in the processes tab bit ive got something runnng called csrss.exe which is a virus (checked it up on a the net) but when i go to end process the laptop freaks out n shuts down

ive ran a virus scan but its no takin it away..... any ideas??

firstly csrss.exe ISNT virus. its a windows process. dont bother with all those virus sites online. they're all nearly bullshit anyway.

here's everything you need to know about tweaking xp and its processes
