Richie Hawtin’s more than legendary label, M_nus, is stopping by at Manchester’s highly celebrated late night dancing den, Area 51, as they up the ante on their run of world class, stop you in your tracks booking policy.
The M_nus crew have been busy of late, touring their audio visual club concept Contakt and bringing a blinding array of parties to some of the most respected venues on the planet, Following suit, Area51 have persuaded M_nus artists Gaiser and Heartthrob to make the solo moves northwards armed with their laptops and synths for a M_nus Live Special. Two of the labels premier artists are primed and ready to blow the minds of a clued up Manc crowd with some seizure inducing Techno…... Rave On!
One of the newer additions to the M_nus family, Gaiser has been effortlessly pushing out the finest minimal tech on the label since 2005. Already a huge name thanks to his unfaltering talent and unwavering energy behind the decks, Gaiser is well on his way to becoming on the biggest names in the tech scene. After the boom of the minimal genre in the year of his signing to the label, Gaiser has introduced a reflective and refined edge that pushes the genre forward and its popularity rife.
Gaiser’s label mate, and New York born DJ Heartthrob, has enjoyed equal success and praise as an innovator in the scene. Recently working more on his live set, and kicking out jaw dropping dark minimal with a mischievous edge, Heartthrob’s name has grown to the extent that he has also been asked to undergo remix projects for massive stars the likes of Troy pierce, The Knife and Depeche Mode.
And to round off the party with style the Colour Residents are taking over for much of the night with our very own take on techno music. This will be the first time Mucky Beats plays as his alter ego Mackie, Playing a peek time slot following Hearttrob's world class Live set. Also alongside mackie will be some of the other Colour Djs , Jay Knight, Mark Anderson , Rob Pepper and Ben Marsden. With out doubt this is going to be a close to sell out party so make sure you get a ticket or get down early to get in paying on the door!
