CORE magazine [ www.core-mag.net ] is a UK based dance music publication covering all styles of dance music, started in May 2008. The magazine which is available to buy in both printed form or can be purchased as a PDF download is now one year old and has five issues to its credit is now in the process of an exciting metamorphosis.

Techno/Rave legend Mark EG (previously editor of Wax and Eternity magazines) is at the helm of the magazine now and has appointed me as editor of the "Hard Section".

CORE Magazine wants to give broad music styles - such as the music we call Hardcore (under the "Hard Section") the same exposure and coverage as other styles in the mag i.e. Techno, Drum & Bass, House, Harddance, Hardstyle, (Happy) UK Hardcore and so on.

This is a great opportunity and I am keen to give a balanced insight into this music, covering the many sub-genres such as Industrial, Mainstream Gabber, Hardcore Techno, Breakcore and Speedcore etc

I’ve managed to get some really good regular contributors on board already such Luke McMillan aka The Dj Producer, Olly Yates aka Thumpa, John Pooley aka Vinyl Vandal amongst others, but I am still looking for more writers with a keen interest in Hardcore who would like to contribute to the magazine in terms of regularly submitting Interviews and topical articles.

I am looking for people who can write well and importantly:-
a) Conduct proper interviews and produce serious articles (not Q&A type questionnaires)
b) Has Knowledge and Passion about some or all of the sub-genre’s
c) Can meet deadlines!

There are some big features lined up for which we initially need to find writers for but are also interested in writers own ideas for future issues.

If you think you may meet the criteria, please can you email me ASAP with a sample of your work to al.twisted@core-mag.net
