I am looking at getting back into mixing, gave my decks and tunes away last year and was looking for a way to mix at home. I am not intrested in getting a set of decks as I dont really have the room, and dont think that I would use them enough to justtify the cost. My current sound card(Tascam us224) only has 1 pair of outs, so I believe I would need a new sound card, and was looking at control surfaces. I came across the Behringer B-Control Deejay BCD2000 USB DJ Control Surface

I believe this to have a 2 stereo channel sound card on board. I already have one of there control surfaces the bcf 2000, which I am impressed with, nice and robust, but I am not sure what the sound card will be like.

Has anyone used these before?

Those of you Djing using laptops what are you using controller and sound card wise.

I would say to avoid that particular controller (Behringer BCD2000) I bought one of these a while back and got rid of it again after a couple of months. It feels cheep, is very glitchy, the wheels are awful and almost impossible to do anything with, the software is trash and when I tried to assign it in ableton it fell flat on its face.

I use Traktor, and my controller is the Numark Total Control:

Is nice to have a mixer feel to it, and it comes with presets for Traktor which is handy. No complaints with it at all, but there is a newer version called the Omni Control, which has a soundcard built into it:

I have the Total Control, which dosn't have a soundcard built into it, so I use the Audio Kontrol 1:

If you're looking to use it with Traktor, then you might get some good info from the Traktor forums:

Hope that was some help to you!
