Promo blurb
For the fifth Singularity release we have the pleasure of playing host to the fantastic works of Force. Force has steadily gained respect for his productions within the underground, and we decided it was time to try to push him to the forefront. His music is very unique and everyone seems to say the same things about his music. If machines could think for themselves, this is the music they would make. The sound is detailed, with a complexity that becomes more apparent each time you listen, it is an alien sound with little references to anything outside itself, yet remains funky and accessible. The two tracks he has given us for this, the first part of a 2 part release, represent his sound succinctly.
Hardminicid builds from a deep subby kick, collecting strange broken machine sounds that orbit around the core groove that eventually opens out with a mutant acid riff that screams like some metallic predator. Jengamaster Remix takes elements from a Jay Pace original and downloads them into the heart of a twisted AI. Machine gears grind around the deep sub and analog drums as computers speak to each other in a language of bleeps and clicks, electronic crickets dance a funky metallic jig over the top of the grooves as dot matrix printer's fight in a surreal arena. Total funked up machine war.
Voidloss provides music to counter against the machine uprising, with 3 tracks of dark electronic driven ancient ritual.
Order of Nine Angles is as mysterious as the organization it takes it's name from. Electro Acoustic percussion drives the track in an off the 4's groove. Melancholic melodies that seem to be a Voidloss trademark drift into the mix, surrounded by fragile, collapsing synths and underpinned by deep bass, a very thoughtful journey. Sheitan begins and is driven by a massive droning ambience combining Middle Eastern pipes, cavernous echoes, distorted guitars, factory sounds and deep bass. A massive analog kick drum provides the pulse as tribal machine percussion slowly builds to the peak. Tree of Wyrd takes the darkest path, deep bass noise and a solid kick are matched with white noise hats and clunking industrial percussion. An inhuman voice runs under mix, speaking some dark ceremony in an ancient language. The tune builds into a disorienting, hypnotic shriek of demonic noises for an overall deeply disturbing techno workout.
