Has Anyone Got any mixes of THE WIZARD'S radio show on WJLB,Detroit.
I have 2 from 1989 that rock.One is rave/teckno and hip hop,the other is rave/tekno and hardcore.
So what going on with Jeff, and his mixing? Both these sets feature major scratching and mixing.Jeff does have the skills(as we Know) but he also has had some dud sets go down in the past.He now keeps the scratching mimimal and has a bad problem with playing the same tracks in every set.
If any one has any sets, please pm me.
Jeff Mills behind the decks,from 1989 to 1997 was a master. :!:

OK, I think I have one set from the earlier Mills too, but I don't remember which date it has, 1989 but the exact date can't remember. When in home I can say you.

If you like sets like this, try with Carl Cox - Battle of the DJs 1989 or Carl Cox - Live @ The Edge 1993. They are amazing !!!

And now... anybody can tell us more old skool livesets? I hope yes...

first off, these sets are taken from tape which i have mastered and converted to 320kps mp3(about 110mb) for each side.
I only have dial up.
I have not used p2p since finding hardsignal and blackout.
I will have a server soon, and will pm you when its time.
If you can give me any links 4 THE WIZARD, that would be cool

what a lot of people don't know is that jeff was producing local hip-hop at the time too. he produced a (horrible) detroit rapper named smiley, which my friend found in a used record store in ann arbor. he would probably be embarrassed if someone asked him about it.

also, another little known fact is that the wizard was resident at ann arbor's nectarine, and there is supposedly a city ordinance banning anyone else from playing under that name!

back to classic mixes...does anyone have any links to deep space radio? or the electrifying mojo?

Very true, Mills loved his hip hop,(would love 2 hear that track)but if u listen 2 the mixes from 89 (thanks Megazero) his mixing was so much more furious than now( even without hearing them from a hip hop point of view).
LDJM,your new mission:
Seek, Locate & post us the MOJO. All the Detroit Masters tell us of his show.
we must Know.

yes, we must have MOJO.

FYI: the album is called "smiley but not friendly" and if i remember correctly (it was 6 or 7 years ago when i heard it), one of the songs has a sample of the pianos from "move your body."
