dunno if this is a stupid question or not but ive just installed windows 7, i had vista and got told it was a matter of just installing from the boot up dvd...

anyways do i need to install my drivers that first came with the laptop?

ive tried to get my audio interface working and its a no go

ive done some tune up to it which was available on the net and ive followed saffire's (audio interface) advice on what to do for compatibility with windows 7

i was thinking that maybe it was because i had maybe not installed my audio drivers, but my soundcard needs to be disabled for the interface to work (so no driver needed) and also the drivers are not compatible with windows 7 because it was for vista

ive made sure that my laptop is compatible with windows 7 etc

it says here that its compatible (windows 7 - 64 bit) Focusrite Audio Engineering | US Site | OS Compatibility (http://www.focusrite.com/support/os/?p=20&os=win#)

and ive done this (from saffire) Are Focusrite's FireWire Products Compatible With Windows 7? .: Focusrite Answerbase (http://www.focusrite.com/answerbase/en/article.php?id=1030)

ANY help appreciated
cheers
