This is probably in the wrong section, but what a feckin quality no nonsense, 2 hour techno set. Really good to hear for a change as techno is a little different. Lookin forward to the next one mate.

Just when things couldnt get much better along came M-Zone who totally blitzed the place with the sweet ol sound of trance of the harder stylee!!!

Lookin forward to hearing your report on my tape Mark, ready for you to rip it to shreds hahahaha!!!!!!

hey yes, that got a big reaction from ppl when i went out onto the dancefloor after my set. actually the first thing some bloke said when i went into the vip room was 'no-one really liked your set, but we love you anyway!' how subtle?!?!!?!! .... i wanted to hit him!!!! hehehe... it got me well paranoid cause i knew how much of a big thing it was in my mind for me to play techno at the da. but then the next person said they loved it! out on the dancefloor, one person said it was the worst set they'd ever heard me play and another said it was the best. and i started to think - I LIKE THIS - A TRUE RESPONSE!!!!! it continued like that for the whole rest of the night!

people either love or hate techno and I should have realised this when i first ventured out of the DJ box. even though i'd never tell a dj that their set was shit as soon as they come off (i'd wait and be a bit more subtle i think!!!!!), i can see that some ppl can't understand it. the euphoric feeling isn't the same as trance. so many would have thought it's a 'bad' set.

the funniest comment i got was 'i know you're going off trance these days but i'm not too keen on your new style'. ???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i've been playing techno since 83! hahaha... i've always played both since 1992. it's funny how ppl hear you once and jump to an opinion about you. i love trance - i'll never go off it!!!!

anyway spot on you guys for the nice comments. i won't be playing techno all the time at the da, but i do think it made for a nice change...

You should have told that bloke to shut the **** up!
That night in academy was the only time i've heard a good set of techno.
Ive been out to smaller clubs where its played but it hasnt really done it for me.
Theres many kinds of techno and i usally listen to dave clark kinda stuff at home, but the techno you play is spot on!
There should be more of it played in academy!

Mark, it's Mike! Cindy & I were both there as you know, and it's the first time we have EVER heard straight techno played at the DA on a Saturday night. As I told you afterwards in the VIP room, it was a tremendous set. Don't heed the knockers!
