System, Cardiff's new Techno night launches in Cardiff on the 24th of July, bringing you a wide spectrum of techno and electronic music. Influenced by nights such as Atomic Jam, Cocoon, Minus, and dj's such as Dubfire, Spektre, Lutzenkirchen, Adam Beyer e.t.c
System aims to move back to a time when nights were all about the music. Where dj's are booked because they make people dance, not because the sell tickets. A night where you go to listen to good music, not to show off your latest peacock hair cut or your skin tight pink t-shirt. A night where having a party is the no 1 priority.

"Paul Loraine" has been described as "One of the best no nonsense British DJ's on the Scene." (NME) With 2 decades of experience as a dj, and with releases on several acclaimed labels such as Tim Sheridan's "Veryverywrongindeed", Soma, and Four:Twenty Paul is fast becoming an extremely prominent name within the dance music scene.
As a statement of Systems musical intent and ethos, Paul has agreed to warm things up for our very first event. System will try to structure every party, with a proper warm up at the start, progressing musically throughout the night. Dj's will be booked because of their talent and how they fit into our music policy. We feel having such an esteemed guest to warm things up, perfectly demonstrates this ideal.
"Andrew Powell" started as a DJ when he was seventeen. After going through a couple of bands and producing Hip Hop, 2008 was the year that he started playing Techno, Tech House and Minimal Techno under his alter-ego “rubix_cube” playing mostly at free party’s.
In 2010 he signed to Technomafia Records, and currently has two releases out on the label. His latest release has received support from the likes of Dubfire, Jim Shaft Ryan, Markus Schulz and Wesley S to name but a few.
'Sean Andrews" has had a wide and varied career as a Dj. Finalist at the legendary "Funkydory" Dj competition, resident for huge Cardiff night ROAR for over a year, regular at some of Cardiff's best house nights including the popular night Superchunk, as well as running his own night Techgroove a few years ago. Sean was also one half of live outfit Salo, After a quiet period Sean has reinvented his sound and will be showcasing his own unique brand of techno.
J.L.D has been a dj for over 10 years. As a solo artist and as one half of the succesful duo "The Tiny Twins" J.L.D has played alongside some of the biggest names in the house and techno scence, including Fergie, Ade Fenton, Phil Kieran, Justin Robertson, Guy Mcaffer e.t.c and has played at some of the countries biggest nights including Backtobasics, Escape into the Park, Cocoon After Party, and Club Azuli.
J.L.D was also resident for the hugely successful techno night Holodeck as well as running house night 'Superchunk' for 3 years.

Not sure about Techno? not sure if you like it? With so much misconception about what Techno is, and what Techno isn't we're giving you the change to come and see for yourself. Bring a ticket stub from any other style of night with you to System, be it D&B, Happy Hardcore, Trance e.t.c (from the same month) hand it in to the front desk, and if at the end of the night you didn't have a good time, you'll get your money back. (Conditions apply)

£3 before 11.30pm (NUS all night)
