Cocoon takes over the WHP for the first of two nights, headlined by one of the world’s biggest and most influential DJs, global phenomenon Ricardo Villalobos who returns after a two and a half year wait. Often used to playing in front of crowds numbering in the tens of thousands, this will be a relatively intimate gig for the superstar from Chile, whose minimal and hypnotic sound influenced an entire generation of electronic producers. Wonderkid Raresh is also flying in from Romania, showing why he has garnered such an elevated status amongst his peers at the tender age of only 23. Over two years ago he and Villalobos performed a back to back set together at the Warehouse Project that was truly one of the most special moments in the WHP’s 5 year history. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring these two together again.
Pioneer of the Mannheim sound, and label boss of the respected Cecille and 8 Bit records, Nick Curly will also be appearing, his thrilling sets and stunning recent mix for Cocoon this summer making him one of the most in demand German DJs of the moment.
Supporting these international names are two of England’s most highly respected and versatile residents; Bugged Out! resident Brendan Long and WHP2010’s very own Krysko.
