This Thursday sees our first international double-bill of 2004. It's a re
run of World Cup Final 1966, England versus Germany. First up from
Manchester is Skam Records head honcho Rob 'Nobby' Hall. One of the most
respected DJ's in the IDM/electro scene, he released a killer mix CD
recorded Live in Tokyo which came out last year. Rob has worked with
Autechre as part of the Gescom project that saw the light in a series of
releases on the likes of Skam, Or, MASK and Clear records. Skam records has
been one of the most influential labels in the whole electronica scene. For
more info on the elusive and mysterious Skam label check out www.skam.co.uk

For the night's closing set we are pleased to announce the first Irish
appearance from one of our favourite producers Arne 'Der Kaiser' Weinberg.
Based in Frankfurt, Arne has been a producer of some of the finest deep
melodic techno around for the last number of years. Arne's journey to
becoming such an accomplished producer started when he became resident DJ at
the Depot club in Tuebingen back in 1999. There he met with artists Oliver
Kapp, Fabrice Lig, Anthony Shakir and Pacou and they quickly helped him
develop his passion for the deeper shades of techno and it wasn't long
before these influences persuaded Arne to make the step from DJ to producer.
Armed only with a few pieces of equipment he started making his first tracks
and soon got a record deal with Frankfurt label Propaganda. His first EP
"Through the Colonnades" was released in early 2001 and gained great
reactions from Laurent Garnier, Derrick May & Carl Craig, all of whom
charted the EP, not a bad start for his first ever release! Since then
killer EP's have followed on labels such as Starbaby, Down Low, Headspace
and Groundzero/Keynote. Recently, together with Shawn Rudiman, he started
the Technoir Audio label to much acclaim from his peers.

Opening the night will be Electric City newcomer Aidan 'Jose' O'Doherty. He
has played at nights such as Fake Arms, Faux Nation & Bleep. This will be
his first time to play the club.
