is the story of Simba, a lion cub who is exiled when his father is murdered by his treacherous brother Scar. Escaping into the jungle, Simba becomes friends with other creatures and eventually returns to claim his throne. Like Richard III, this is a story of power, corruption, greed, redemption, and something else. Friendship. There is a good reason this musical has won critical acclaim, the story has the ability to touch and move both the young and the old. The Lion King offers something for everyone.
