just got a new compressor and wondering if anyone who uses a 1604 or anything similar ....which way do u route your compressor??

I was thinking of sending my sub outs 1&2 to the compressor then sending it back in through the main inserts, this way i could assign what channels i send to the compressor.
The manual has diagrams of leads that are ring, tip and sleeve, do i need to buy these leads specially or make them?

i'm really confused at the moment help!!

Hey, you know about INPUT / OUTPUT on the back of the compressor?
Try that ;)

Why just not buy a couple of Insert cables and punch the Insert jack of SUB 1/2 into it? Why would you like to return the signal to the Main Insert anyway?

Use the Inserts on the subs, not the sends... until u can really graps the main diference between Aux Sends and Inserts u probably better off using the insert on the sub... U need a Y cable (aka Insert cable) which starts as a Jack 1/4" TRS (tip, ring, sleeve... which is know 2 many as a stereo jack, but can also be a balanced mono) and ends in 2 Jack 1/4" TRS (Tip, sleeve - comonly know as a mono Jack), one will b 2 use on the in of the compressor and the other on the out....

I use main mix inserts, just to apply compression to the whole mix...
