Can't get a youtube link cos am in work, but I HATE that new Jason Derulo (sp?) song. He just took "Show me love" by Robin S and stuck the "Dayo Daaaayoooo" tune from Beetlejuice on top of it. Lazy, corny and SH*T!

What is it recently with rap/urban (whatever you wanna call them!) artists re-hashing old 90's dance tunes?

That Guetta/Snoop one is a clear rip-off of "Don't you want me?" by Felix:

‪Felix - Don't You Want Me‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bj8xF2bnxp0)

The Jason Derulo bullsh*t:

‪Jason Derulo - Don't Wanna Go Home - Lyrics on Screen!‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CN8NpTh4o2A)

is a rip off of "Show me Love" by Robin S:

‪Robin S - Show Me Love (Official Music Video) [1993]‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ps2Jc28tQrw)

and good old Pitbull is in on the act too:

‪Pitbull - Hotel Room Service‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2up_Eq6r6Ko)

samples:

‪Nightcrawlers - Push the feeling on (original)‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zCUTK0-5iE)

Guess originality doesn't count for a lot, huh?

Ok, so I forgot these as well:

Tinchy Stryder's version of Olive's "You're not alone":

‪Tinchy Stryder - You're Not Alone‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV7nt3QuNiU)

Original tune:

‪Olive - You're not Alone‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkg7Ozu0pH8&feature=fvwrel)

And Cataracts/Dev sampled Sunbeam - "Outside World":

‪"TURNT 4 DA WEEKEND" [OFFICIAL] THE CATARACS & DEV‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XA-bz8r1s2w)

Original tune:

‪Sunbeam - Outside World (Original mix)‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkXOpJU5CV0)

Sampling is nothing unusual in music, but why are SO MANY people taking old nineties dance tracks and rapping over them right now? Enough already! It does my head in going to the gym now, cos they always have this crap on...

pitbull is just absurd. my trancetastic, "this speaker goes up to 11" russian neighbor loves his "music." david guetta too. it's slowly driving me insane.

all this 'urban' dance music is cringe worthy, shows how completely devoid of creativity most of the these artists truly are
