SLOBODAN BIOGRAPHY:

Slobodan - otherwise known as Staffan Ehrlin – was born in 1980.
Between the years of 1993-1994 when he was just 13 years of age, he
began to work as a devoted producer of electronic music taking
strong influences from Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, Front 242 &
Nitzer Ebb. In 1996 he began to investigate dance culture but more
specificaly its techno scene and began buying records from artists
and producers who were responsible for the most pounding releases.
It didn't take him long to start producing techno music himself.

He soon developed innovative methods for making hard techno tracks
whilst keeping his early influences from Skinny Puppy and Frontline
Assembly. Besides producing records he began building up his skills
behind the turntables in 1996 - always playing solid, funky and
hard; In early 1999 he released his first track called FIRST
BUMRUSH EP on Belgian cult techno label SUBSOUNDS; he soon followed
this up by releasing SUBSOUNDS 018, 019 and 020. Other noteworthy
labels that he's released on include Planet Rhythm, Compound,
Heroes, Drumworks, Evil Deception, Highland Beats, Template, Cloned
Vinyl and his own Civic imprint. Fans will also be aware of his
collaborations with Glenn Wilson; their two recent EPs on
Submissions have received massive support and play, in particular
the Voodoo Ray sampling "Arrghh Yeah", which has become something of
a hard techno anthem!

In the last couple of years Slobodan has played gigs all over
Europe and completed two tours of the US, the first solo and then as
part of the "Refuse and Resist" tour with fellow Swedes Headroom. In
2001 Slobodan was nominated for "Best Musical Act of the Year" at
the annual Nöjesguiden awards in Sweden. His records demonstrate his
love and knowledge of techno, while at the same time experimenting
with new and innovative sounds.

Slobodan has kickstarted his own new label "GoatHead" and the first
release is due out in March. Goathead 01 comes from Patrik Skoog and
is entitled "Window pain" complete with remixes by Slobodan and Mark
Williams.
