Just a quickie, why add a delay to your mix, also the reverb, each time ive used these it sounds gash

delay can help to widen a sound in the mix and give it a fuller feel as can reverb if used correctly.

sorry i just realised this is in the dj forum not the production forum so you dont mean in a track  apologies force of habit

i tend not to use effects much in my mixes but reverb can work well when cutting a section in and out to leave a tail behind also a beat synced delay 1/2, 3/4, 1/1 etc can work well for adding kicks in time etc also when faded out into a delay you can get good results

with a delay effect it is possible to double up the beats and then increase the feedback and reduce the dealy time to create your own f**ked up peaks of an otherwise boring tune.

Just listen to any Hawtin sets from around the 1999 period to hear just how ace delay effects can be...
