I'm talking about serious mono sound, not a real trancey sound that is about 16000000000000000 osc's and full of fx and bull****.

Absynth is good but my god you have to work on your sound.

OSCAR is quite mono sounding but how the hell do you cut off your 2nd osc? Hmmm....

Albino is pretty good too.

Moog Mod takes up way too much power. I simply cant use it.

So come on. Everyone who knows anything about synths must be able recommend some really good ones.

Look forward to your responses!!!

Use the OSC balance pot in the Mix section to fade between the two osc's

ive just been playin around with 2 synths ive had for a while, but never got round to giving them a good going over until today. both of these dirty bitches are vastly underated.

1. da hornet- is da shit! some serious dark filth coming out of this little beast, the presets are very impressive, and the interface is pretty minimal.

2. fatsondo- pretty cool, very versatile and very easy to use.

some of the above r very cool

(i know youve asked for that"mono"sound but )

synths like pentagon ,dcota, vyrsin Tera r incredible in techno production (although at first site they have a more trancey style)u just got to know how to program them of course after they will deliver basically everything .

just curious

do any of you guys still use hardware synths anymore like the Virus C or Nord Leads?

Im just curious as to how many people have now transferred over to a more software based setup...

(not trying to fan a software vs. hardware flaming debate here, i AM actually curious)...

i use both software and hardware. Software like impOSCar and the only hardware synth i have at the moment is the Novation Nova and i'm loving the Leads it does.
