I recently got my mpc and been working away with it.

I went back to some of the floppy disks that i had sequences and programes on and when i tried to load the sequence it said it was the wrong file, and when trying to load programes it said the file was damaged.

luck enough i had backed up these discs on my pc and when transfared back again on to floppy they worked fine.

The only thing i can think that has gone wrong with the disks is that they were sitting beside one of my speakers and this has damaged them

Has anyone else had this problem and what should i do to keep my disks healthy

itll definetly be the speakers id say, there might be magnetically shielded disc boxes availible, but other than that just keep em away from your speakers in future
