the amount of "young uns " ive spoke 2 while out and about, when ever they talk about hard trance, the choons they always talk about are old !!! ive even had a couple of people asking me to mix classic style cds, you know with tracks from tracid, overdose, cases etc.
Is it no one is making the kinda of hard trance that people actually like.
or is hardtrance is passing into to " the new happy hardcore" style phase ?
the next generation to me seem to love the last generations music more than their own and i wondered why ?

i know trance was better circa 98 but why ?
is it that all the best ideds have been done already ?
or that no one is making quality hard trance ?
has it become life less ? a spent force ?
is it possible to have quality trance that isnt cira 98 ?
is it possible to have a return to the good old days ? as si said the dirty stuff. or is hard trance just a musical gene from the past ? or are the people that produce it just not doing good enough ?

i think its down to at the time it was mostly fresh ideas and a lot of it was very exciting as we were witnessing new sounds and trance going in a new direction, i dont think going back is the way but i also think weve hit a point were if we stay here its all going to go down hill fast.

i do however belive there was more variation a few years ago, or at least people were allowing more into the scene, as in hard trance was covering more ground, now with what seems a massive amount of sectioning off and categorising (perhaps it was there back then but i didnt notice it) the sound has become very samey and tracks are sounding like they have been forged from the same template.

producers need to get back in the frame of mind of moving forward instead of what seems to be "lets make another fairly decent track that sounds like everything else but will sell because its ok"
