Yeah I prefer Invisible too mate....the production is a lot better IMO.

But Live in the Now is there to be pitched right up and smacked out Hard Trance style whereas Invisible is a spot on little sitter to trance out to.

You got to appreciate the way you can use a techno tune to split up a hard trance set, use it as a tool aswell as a tune to put on...

Right see it like this, I play 20 mins of some nice melodic hard trance to start yeah, keep the crowd on there feet, loving there melodies...I drop a nice techno tune in there, not too hard, not too light, just a nice roller, probably a Pat Skoog or something, then out of the blue, quick mix into a FAT bassline...what are the crowd gonna do?

All those who didnt like the techno are gonna come back because you just dropped a Hard Trance beast, all those who appreciate the techno are gonna be happy cos you got a bit of it in there, and all those who stayed are gonna start going for it more because it just got better.

Reasons to play techno:
1. Breaks up your set
2. Allows you to put pretty much any tune out of it....
3. Pleases those who appreciate more than one style of music
4. Shows to other promoters that you aint just playing the same old hard trance as every other ****er out there...

There are loads more reasons...but thats why I use techno in my sets.

P.S. All the above is based on my own opinion from a Hard Trance DJ breaking his set up... ;)

In my opinion, that's a pretty arrogant way to look at it, just because I would drop a couple of tracks that you don't agree with, you wouldn't rate me regardless that my pitching and placement could be spot on?

That's pretty blind.

im playing more and more techno these days! i agree completely that techno makes trance sets more interesting too , i mean i LOVE trance its awesome, but it really is becoming very formulated these days...

i think if every tune a dj`s dropping has a massive break it can be a little hard for me to get into the set as much, sometimes i just wanna stomp!! so without playing hardstyle(which i personally dont like) techno can make your trance sets roll alot better... im loving the tech trance sound as well , trance/ techno cross over stuff that keeps things moving ...also i think techno its such a broad style its pretty hard to difine it aswell so when someone says there gonna play some techno you never quite no what your in for...which is also a reflection of how versatile it is as a form of music...anyway someone wise once said talking about music is like dancing about archetchure.. ;)

i think if every tune a dj`s dropping has a massive break it can be a little hard for me to get into the set as much, sometimes i just wanna stomp!! so without playing hardstyle(which i personally dont like) techno can make your trance sets roll alot better... im loving the tech trance sound as well , trance/ techno cross over stuff that keeps things moving ...also i think techno its such a broad style its pretty hard to difine it aswell so when someone says there gonna play some techno you never quite no what your in for...which is also a reflection of how versatile it is as a form of music...anyway someone wise once said talking about music is like dancing about archetchure.. ;)

just my thoughts

Agreed Mr Hare, well put.
