Im sorry but I think we need a big discussion on HARDSTYLE, in my opinion hardstyle over the past 3 months has been very poor. Im so fed up with the same kicks the same high pitch stabs and the lack of effort gone into some tracks. When I play out im playing alot of old hardstyle and new hard techno now, im guttted to think hardstyle is on its way out but with all these tunes coming out that are crap at the moment its getting such a bad reputation. Big labels such as dance pollution and blutonium are even average now. I think its over for this genre, what do the BOA lads and lasses think. and as for suntec!! whats that all about!!

hardstyle wont die.
but hopefully all the producers that jumped on the bandwagon will jump off again soon and leave hardstyle to the people who know how to keep a genre fresh.

yeah Hardstyle just needs a kick up the arse at the moment.
there is still good stuff coming out, its just that there is that much shite coming out, its made them harder to find.
dont worry about it. use this dull patch to ur advantage and get caning some of the older corkers u forgot u had!!
or buy some older stuff u missed when it came out!
Hardstyle WILL Survive!!!

yeh that would **** me right off.
but really theres not that much money to be made from it compared to hardstyle etc so the bandwagon jumpers tend to leave it alone, leaving only the producers that really love it which is cool.

Mate, i noticed this 6+ Months ago.
It's just a case of keep searching and searching for the quality. I'm getting into the more "Industrial" side of Hardstyle. Stuff like "Lorenzo De Preti's" sound. This is the way it needs to go, but it's still very early days for this sound as the majority of other Artists seem quite happy in releasing the same sounds and Formula. I just keep looking out for it.
The difference though, it just makes me laugh. You can listen to one Dark, twisted, Industrial, Gabba-Influenced monster, which makes you think 'This is the shit,'
But then you can to listen to one of the more typical Hardstyle releases of today, and it just makes me laugh, i think to myself, can't these artists see the way forward for the scene and most importantly the diffence in quality?

personally, i cant agree with anybody who says a sound is going a "certain way", as each dj is entitled to their own sound...

Im finding that all the good hardstyle at the moment is actually hard trance, with a hardstyle influence and is being categorized as hardstyle.
My opinion anyway.

OK, flair play. But in my opinion the more Gabba/Industrial influenced Hardstyle sounds alot classier and well more produced.
Big difference to the majority of the cheesy stuff.
Just my opinion though, and i also agree with you Yoshi about 2 different DJ's playoing Hardstyle but sounding different. Just comes down to individual taste really.

Bring it on :rambo:
the problem within the dutch hardstyle scene atm is that they are pumping up the tempo considerably so it almost seems hardcore..
the in qontrol party was a terrible example of that.
mind: i do not hate hardcore, fact is : i like it.
but hardstyle and hardcore should not melt together to the same style.. alltough producers tend to try this lately.
i wouldn't mind hardstyle going back a 5 BPM's in speed atm since the difference with the 2000/2001 tunes is unbelievable.
they went from 134/135 to 148/150 sommot..
plus producers should use more innovative sounds. i'm currently experimenting with more new types of basslines. now i just need to fix my records to be published

people who like bangin hardcore and not cheesey hardcore wud like the fact that hardstyle and some types of hardtrance is speeded up,av heared a phew tunes played by certain dj's at hardcore speed i.e Dj the crow meets Dj arne The Speed which is bangin at hardcore speed i actually prefer it like that.at the end of the day its worth mixing with hardcore or sets wud get boring as like gabba with hardstyle

.
Nah - haven't been buying much from those labels......... but my hardstyle purchases and like's branch beyond those labels and I don't take those labels in 'the big 5' to reprasent the scene as a whole.....
when I hear a shit tune I tend to think "thats shit" and it's forgotten in an instant......... don't like to dwell on it and worry that the specific tune is dragging down the genre......or the label..... or the artist.....
I just prefer to plow through untill I hear a tune I really like, buy it, play it.........and be happy  - I've never been one to be faithful to an artist or label - just what I think sounds hammering and appeals to me.......could be on Subliminal for all i care........
Nothing worse than being down about the music u love, or to be pesimistic about IMHO......
you don't like something - don't subject yourself to it.......get on with what you do like........ whether that be techno in your case Pearcy....then furry muff..... turns out that your like's have changed, or what u did like doens't satisfy ur taste's anymore - no need to blame that on the fall of a genre.......
cos if u look at the country's where it's all from - IMHO its bigger than ever.......
everyone's different though innit.......
