im currently using sound forge 6.0 to record my dj sets into. If i saved the file as a wav. file and burnt it to disc, this would only give me one track for the duration of the set.
How can i insert track markers, meaning so i can skip between tracks instead of playing the whole cd just to get to the last track, if u know what i mean?

I don't know if it can be easily done in Soundforge, but if you use Nero burning rom to burn the cd you can easily split up the wav file into separated tracks..
Havn't used SF in years, but a good generic method is to set markers where you want the track boudaries, then just save each 'track' as a seperate wav. Bung these wavs into whatever burning app you use (nero, easyCD) and burn *without* the 2 second gap abomination.
As I remember, SF has some handy way of selecting all audio between two markers, double click in the lower half of the waveform, or something.
Personally, I use wavelab now.

You need a program called CD Architect to put in track markers (id tags). I think the next version upgrade from Sound Forge 6 has it. Wavelab also has this feature.
CD architect is a wicked piece of software, love it...
If you drop markers in Soundforge, Nero can actually read these and use them as split points. Once you've selected your wav in Nero, goto properties and then indexes (i think) and click split at marker points.

Cd Wave is an very quick easy way for splittin a mix up into tracks.
I think its still free too.

Just insert regions for each track you need then export the regions
