8 in 8 out soundcards

im lookin for advice on wot card to get (again!) and ive been advised that 8 in 8 out or higher is the route to take

yup, that's a beauty... lots of ppl like that card...

and im guessing that the 8 outputs could go into the 8 channels on a mixer, and the outputs on the mixer would go into the inputs on the card?

also, i presume i would still b able to use my computers speakers for monitoring until i can afford to buy some proper monitors?

your computer monitors would be fed from the output from the desk. the outputs of the card go into the desk. you can plug whatever you like into the card inputs, to sample things into your computer. you can, if you so wish plus the outputs from the 'buses' of your desk into your soundcard input to 'resample' certain outputs of your soundcard.



hehe... soundz complicated but you'll get it when you get your set up...

kewl. so the outputs are connected to the desk and the inputs are left free until u connect something up, leaving space for up to 10 instruments/sampler etc to b connected? sounds sweet!

and a nice workstation to put it all on, any ideas where i could go for that?

gonna start hammering the sundays me john, for £10 odd an hour its worth it like, could save up for me spanking new soundcard within a month easily

me too, gonna work this sunday & after new year i`m gonna do a sunday every fortnight.
