That looks great!
And I really like The Rythm Factory! nice place, big long bar! And for a good cause too!
I think I might be tempted!
Had already planned to go out on sat night but maybe I can do both...
Party devil!
Never been to the rhythm factory, always up for new places, especially with a ringing endorsement from somebody else.
They've been doing stuff at Turnmills recently (split), i only went there once, but i really didn't like it, overcrowded and the wrong shape.
Ruined my enjoyment quite a lot, which was a shame cos it was Derrick May and The Surgeon.
Gotta get there early for the free Retrovert T-shirt!
What time do they open the doors?
Is it poss to buy tickets in advance?
Yeah, I really like the place. |No thrill, realtively small room, rectangular, stage where the DJ plays, long bar at the back...
Saw Evil Nine and Barry ashword (Dub pistols) there...
Thats all the info i got!
Can't find anything on it when i do a search, but i don't think there is tickets, reckon it's a first come first served situation, so best to get there before 10.... which is a bit of a feat for us lazy people from Portsmouth, don't usually get up to gigs up there til at least midnight!
Here ya go!
RETRO_VERT 005
THE CHRISTMAS CRACKER
In aid of Crisis Homeless Charity
It’s that time of year and once again the RETRO_VERT crew return with a special festive charity event in aid of the homeless. Last years party at the (late and great), Fortress studios was a huge success and saw us raise over £2500 for Selter homeless charity to help them in their annual campaign of housing and feeding the homeless over the Christmas period.
Rather than insisting on a donation, this year we will charge a small door fee of £5 to cover venue cost etc and we will donate 50% of that to Crisis, as a further incentive we’ve commissioned 200 exclusive limited edition RETRO_VERT
t-shirts that will be given out on a first come first serve basis…
SO ARRIVE EARLY!!!!!!
We are joined by world renowned and respected deck wreckers, London’s very own SPACE DJS (Ben Long and Jamie Bissmire) who will daze and amaze with their well honed turntable mastery. Making his London ‘live’ debut is Scotland’s finest VINCE WATSON, a true talent in all forms of techno/electronica and a name associated with legendary labels such as ibadan/fcomm/transmat and his own bio recordings. Serving up a fresh slice of electro funk will be veteran DJ BILLY NASTY, no doubt spinning hot off the press wax from his highly praised electrix imprint. Touching down all way from the USA is New York’s FUNCTION who will be tearing up the floor with his first set in London for over 6 years, so expect some serious music. Trusty RV residents PAUL MAC and TONY ANDERSON keep the party rolling and Fluid resident KEN WATANABE graces the second room with his own brand of aural drama. Top that lot off with some of the UK’s finest Visual Artists and of course BEN SIMS and you’ve got one hell of a Christmas Party and It’s for a great cause too, so no excuses…do something good this xmas!!!
