forget distorted kick drums and the like, stuttered + time streched voice samples are in!!!
have been listening to the sets from the Qlimax party in Amsterdam and these things really started to get on my tits a bit...u know the sort of thing, normally done by the likes of DJ Isaac but it seems everyone is using the technique now.... imo, if it's over used (which it will be) then YAWN...BUT i like the technique very much and used in the right place with right voice sample and :D

just thought, Uberdruck does this a fair bit too, but his way is different to the Isaac method and it seems to be the Isaac method bein used the most in them Q-party sets....
can post those sets up if any1 is interested...

it is weird how the dutch seem to prefer some kind of vocal, i agree with you though if its used to much it can be boring, but it works to wicked effect in the make it loud tune by bultoinium boy :wink: ive noticed a lot more german and italian stuff is following suit, vocals can b good as they give a reference instead of the " you know, it goes something like this" its easier to spot a tune from its vocal !! :P :P
i try and keep away from these isaac style tunes, but its quite hard when you get some good ones, it gets on my tits aswell when i hear a set full of tracks using this formula. isaac sets i think are really bad, this might just be because its not my style but its just annoying hearing the same kind of tunes, especially played together.
well i think you've just hit it on the head.
surely the next big sound is not 'one sound' but a DJ/producer that can incorporate all the different influences into his/her sound....
that's what i think anyway.....
and yes, 'make it louder', was a serious example of a good track...
We did a set at Qlub Tempo and every other DJ played tune after tune of schreeching souless hardstyle. It got really feckin tedious after a while.... There was definately too much hardstyle. But to top this off, their was a whole three arena's of it...... all night, same tunes in every arena......... But then sayin this, the crowd were lovin it! it was obviously what they wanted to hear..........Quote:

i didnt mean this seriously folks, was havin a dig at the use of the samples and how it' spread from Isaac to other producers - much like how lots have a dig at the whole distorted kick drum on beat 4 etc...
but yea, right place, right tune etc, is all good.. but it's gonna get used a whole lot more now, that's all...
i just generally think it adds to the whole "houseyness" that hardstyle is heading towards imo.

I find that too. You can have trancey vocals that add to the atmosphere of the tune or you can have vocals like "make it loud" which give the tune a party feel and sometimes ruin it completely. Not saying that MIL is a bad tune but others are ruined by samples of a bloke saying "turn this mother Fcuker up!" for example...
The dutch love that kind of stuff, that's why they still have MC'ing at hardstyle events too. Hardstyle is more popular there than anywhere else in the world, so I wouldn't expect a change anytime soon.

Defitnley being over used at the moment aswell as the Gabba Kick Drum on the 4th beat. I wouldn't say Uberdruck should be classed as this method. Uberdruck's is just the sick vocal in the break, which i like....creates the dark atmosphere.

oh my god i tried so hard to do something different this weekend and i think i've found a way forward.
all i'm saying is please god stay away from this mentality of everything on a certain label should sound the same. look for labels that are not releasing the same record time and time again. it is going to wear thin and destory the scene!
thankfully i think there are labels out there that are really trying to take this sound forward. i've really noticed that this weekend. there is defo a way forward - i'm sooo excited!!!!
There is always a way forward, just takes someone forward thinkin and with balls to take the step. There is nothin worse than label releasing tunes that are all the same. I think Stik are maybe gettin a bit like that.
I always find crossovers of different style fairly exciting.
I think there a quit a few labels that do try and push a new sound, its just wether it catchs, or if ppl are interseted that it will take off.
I think gas is a good examply of a label that trys different sounds.
