i can get a MAM FreeBass for £100 is this emulator worth it?
I read a review that only gave it 5/10 -- it said it had no character

ive got one & just bought another off ebay.
sounds pretty good to my ears, but goes to shit with distortion on high cut/res settings. so no screaming acid lines. does a nice job at growling though and has got tons more grit than any vst i've used.
£100 is perhaps a bit on the steep side, i paid nearer £80.
if you can get the price down a little it's well worth the money.
ah i like sqealing :( my virus goes to shit on high res and cut off
as well on 303 type sounds.. :cry:
yeah the freebass is great for growls but shit for screams, bit like syntechno teebee, which is also a very useful midi controller
