afl studio question

how can i add a few more rows (not patterns) ;) in my play list at the beggining...i jsut realized i want to start off the track with someting else...(actually without the kick drum going so heavy at first...) ..so all i need to do is add a few more rows...so where my begining is will actually be like the 2nd or 3rd measure/bar/32 ..w/e ...any info would be great..ty

Open the playlist, ctrl+a, select the paintbrush from the top menu, then shift everything over 2 bars to the right.
