I think most people know that clives ill health wasn't the only reason that the CC shut. I heard that Richard Carr (Slinky Owner) had something to do with it, but I've heard so many rumors its hard to tell what's true and what isn't. Anyone know who's fault it was so we can blow up there house.
Yes, what was the REAL reason for closure?
We've heard:
1/ Drug dealers making Clive's life hell.............
2/The police refusing to renew the licence due to alledged drug use at club.........................
3/Clive's health.........................................
4/Can no longer get insurance on the building........
5/The Gun Club next door made an offer...............
What was the REAL reason - was it none of the above?
We know that Mark DOES know the answer, but why is it a secret? Will we ever find out - if so, when?
have to point out that knowing the reason why Country Club shut will not bring it back.
May be pointless trying to find out... let's take the goodness out of what country club did for the scene and wish the team at CC and clubbers the best of luck for future.

I think some people would just like to know, even if it was the fault of the Police, Council, Gunclub, Dealers or Gypsies we wouldn't be left with this gaping hole of a question. I know it isn't gonna bring it back, but the clubbers are intitled to the truth at some point. Gospel truth not Chinese wispers or rumors.

The best thing I can suggest is to email clive ( Dance daddy ) or phone him, then he can tell you. From what I gather it's not one thing that ment closing the place it was a few different things including health issues. Dont forget he's not in his 20's like most of us lot so its dam hard work running thta place. At the end of the day at least it ended on a high note rather than being ran into the ground. Also at least we had a closing party which places like the monastrey never had when they shut. Nothing is going bring back that place, so lets just look back on the good times we had !
