I personally dont care, and couldnt even tell you what it means, but submitted my latest mix to a Norweigian HS Online Radio site, and they like it but said 56 was bad and to change it to 128????

once uve recorded it u can only lower bitrate, if u higher it, it wouldnt affect the sound quality itd just be a bigger file

always 128 or above, preferably 192kbps tho, or even higher 200 plus i usually use

it records it in full glorious 44.1k 16 bit wav format... its when you save it as an mp3 that you can choose the bitrate.
yeah, i did wonder about that, no wonder they sent it back, a 56k mp3 is really not the suitable format to present a mix in
i find Wavelab alot better than Soundforge, but if u have a good look in SF then u shudnt have any problems
basically have you still got the orignal recording as a .wav file? if so just rip it again
