Jasbof First Annual 'Cats Gonads' Dj Competition
Jasbof is dedicated to giving up & coming Djs a chance, the reason why is simple, because we are up & coming Djs ourselves, and we remember the frustration of feeling ready to play somewhere, and not getting a chance anywhere.
This is a chance for someone to win a 1 year residency @ Jasbof, a guarenteed 4 sets in 2006!!
Im also going to have a chat with some other Liverpool promoters and see if they will kindly donate a set or 2 to the winner.
You'll also get some near unlimited webspace to throw up mixes whenever you feel throughout the year, which will help your chances of playing out even more.
Some Simple Rules -
1. Nearly any style will be considered, Jasbof plays literally every type of music possible anyways, so whether you play Drum n Bass, Techno, Hip Hop, 80's Gear...it doesnt matter...although theres a couple of styles not allowed....No Happy Hardcore or anything which involves the word House...whether that be Hard,Funky or Scouse....we dont do it so dont bother....theres enough House clubs in the world...go bother them!
2.All entrys must be recieved handed in by person at one of these 3 events -
30/09/05 - 3 Room Special - Techno/DnB/Breakcore/Old Skool
13/09/05 - John Peel Day Special Live On Radio One - Kid 606 + Drop The Lime
28/09/05 - Wrong Music Tour - Shitmat/Droon/Scotch Egg + Many Many More
All these events take place @ Hevn n Hell, Fleet St, Liverpool City Centre
No entrys by post or e-mail will be accepted. 1 simple reason....enthusiasm......
We spent many an hour sticking tapes in promoters hands....it should be the rule....
Show enthusiasm for the night your trying to get a residency at....some stranger sending in a demo who's never been to the night aint gonna get a look in...sorry!
3.All mixes must be at least 45 minutes long
4.You cant have played for Jasbof before at any point in the past
The best 8 demos we recieve at those 3 events will go forward to a final.
The winners being announced in November.
All 8 winners will then play at our Xmas Party.
All Djs will be at the club half an hour before opening to pick names from a hat for the running order.
On the night 4 judges will decide who deserves to win the residency.
The winner will be announced at the end of the night.

Get doing some demos then(!)....and hand them in to the cunt on the door at any of those events (Me)
Im also looking for 2 judges to help judge on the night....from diffrent genres prefarably...and obviously someone who has vast experience of playing in clubs.
