ACID SCENE....

Hey...i´m from Brasil and thats my first post here....
i know...this part is for hardtechno discussions but i wanna use this
part cause here have more people to answer i guess...

there 70% of the users are hardtechno headz....u know...
and they don´t like acidtechno...and they just talk bullshits to me about
my songs....and i read everyday ACIDTECHNO IS DEAD...
Drummer don´t play more acidtechno...RAW records is HARDTECHNO...
u watch Ant at spgroove´s partie?? yeah...he don´t play more acid...
and i´m sick...can´t more hear this kind of shits...


i´m starting to think like those guys...i love my acidtechno more than
anyone here...just you guys can tell me what´s going on with the acidtechno scene....acid is really dead??

i dont think its dead mate...........the london boys have moved on from the screamin 303's into the more funky hard techno thats released on hydralix raw max min etc.

there is still acid techno produced cumin out on suf and other labels.....i dont think it will ever die its part of music history lol

well acid is just old
its the grandpa of techno in a way
the 303 sound has been used a lot for 10 years now
and it's very difficult to get anything new sounding out of it
also some people really don't like it.
i still play a little acid but not as much as i used to that's true.
chris lib plays more than me so does aaron.
and many other london djs.
but essentially the sound has moved on from there.
we still produce and release acid records in fact chris has just started a new acid label "wah wah" which will be straight up acid for all you guys who still love that sound.
but personally i find the 303 sound very limiting and once you play that sound you become an "acid " dj which is also limiting when you need work to keep yourself alive.
i still love the london acid techno scene and it's music and it's djs but i just can't play a whole set of acid anymore as i don't think the quality justifies it any more.
i hope you understand, also i really think the quality of london techno is still very high just not so much the acid stuff.

but i´m not associating acid with TB´s
acid for me is more then the 303...for me hydraulix...powertools...RAW...
etc....are acidtechno just without the TB´s ...you are a Dj...producer
and u understand techno 100000000000% more than me...maybe you don´t think like me about this stuffs...
i want to talk more but sometimes my ridiculous english stop my mind...hehehe...

cause you guys from london are a big influence for us...

evolution...but i tell you something...i´m disappointed when i read
you talking about acid like that...sounds like scorn for me...
i´m one of your biggest fans here in Brasil...when i watch you at influence I was so affected that I almost cried....i try to buy all of your nice
records...but...ant and geezer talk with more love and entusiasm about
acid then you...please try to understand my words...don´t judge me ok...

so i'll never forget it

As well as Wah Wah, look out for Skankadelic Records. First 3 have all been top-notch screamers (with non-acid/London B-sides).

Number 3 on Skankadelic Sounds is AWESOME, and check out Wah Wah 3 as well...Star Wars...CRAZY! :mrgreen: :thumbs up: :mrgreen:

You should get in touch with this guy for hard techno in Brazil. http://www.djkalif.com, He was living over here in Ireland for a few years but split back to Brazil.

i understand the both sides.
is so hard to live only with acid techno,thats why henry is plying some hard techno right.
but u can play the 2 syles at same set WHY NOT.
