have you thought about a mixing desk?

i myslef would add too that with a nice mackie and a digi01 or somthing - maybe with and adat converter too..

perhaps an external fx unit like a tc mone to work with the mackie.

oh, and the best ££ i ever spent was when i upgraded from a set of reveals to K-ROKS

Buy some nice powered monitors, and then buy your lady a nice dinner. Too much gear is for the birds.

Get the best pair of speakers you can possibly afford. Even if you give up writing music one day they'll still sound fantastic...

Get some better monitors !

Of corse it takes you years to accustoming to your speakers, but you should bye some which are mostely used in big studios. just some goods...
genelec, yamaha, adam, mackie.....
