the scene here is small, so if i go out i pretty much have to deal with what is playing. And...you guessed it, its mostly ****ing house.

well I love house, mainly chicago stuff.

i might also mention i am 1 out of 4 techno dj's in this city that plays out regularly. so the techno is real scarce most of the time. and 2 of the 4 (me and another guy) play hard techno.

why? im not wanting to start this into a "lets bash house" thread. i just needed to vent about my situation.

i respect the fact that people like other genres, and i do in fact, respect house music. i just dont like it, and im forced to hear it everyweekend cause most of my friends are house dj's. im sorry if i offended anyone

You can't disrespect theold school of it man. thats what brought me into techno. that shit they play in ibiza now is kaka, but relief, cajual, even some old ass dj sneak on strictly rhythms were good man! :nono:

there's a LOT of really dull sounding house out there. if you think all house sounds the same, you need to hear derrick carter, robert armani or paul johnson. i've heard stacey pullen play a house / tech house set and it was badass.

I like House in the House and Techno in the clubs.
