This Thursday we welcome one of techno's biggest names to one of Europe's smallest clubs, Chris Liebing. Coming off the back of a two month Collabs World Tour with partner in crime Speedy J, this will be Chris' first time in Dublin in over 2 1/2 years when he played a whopper 4 hour set in the Temple Bar Music Centre.
Since then he has become Germany's Number 1 DJ ( beating Uncle Sven and Hell in the process) and brought his harder techno sound to the White Island of Ibiza where he ran the weekly Spinclub. Recently he has remixed Motor, Cave and Deichkind to stunning effect while his CLR label has continued to push the tougher techno sound with releases by Alex Bau and newcomer Virgil Enzinger.
CLR is about to release a new mix CD from Chris recorded live from the legendary Womb club in Toyko featuring tracks by Sleeparchive, Motor and Alex Under to name a few. Recorded live at Womb, this compilation will make you see Chris with other eyes. Tracks from all kinds of techno are combined in a fantastic session of pure energy. This mix will open your eyes what is possible and can be done by a DJ who knows how to work his array of hardware with own custom built Allen & Heath mixer. Over half the tickets are already sold for this night and with tickets limited to 200 - we highly recommend that you pick up one as soon as possible. It took us nearly a year to persuade Chris to play at such a small club so for a very rare chance to see him weave his magic up close you know what to do. Support comes Electric City resident Eddie Brennan who nowadays has a DJ schedule which is nearly as busy as Mr.Liebings.
