Bored of minimal techno, not enough ooomph in it for you? Well Sonic Groove is. Shiiiit!!! We were releasing minimal records back in 1995 with the likes of artists like Abe Duque.
Well here we are twelve years later, bored of minimal and on a quest to bring techno back to its , rough , rugged & rhythmic glory day ways.

Now lets enter the quest :
Realmz.

Realmz is a project sound designed & beat constructed by Rob D’Atri of Pittsburgh.
Rob was realized & discovered by a powerful transmission he sent to the Sonic Groove laboratory very recently. The force of this transmission was so powerful it caused an explosion at the lab.

The shockwaves of the explosion emitted a fresh new sound that takes a bit of the past very far into the future. Reminiscent in feel of Robert Hood, Surgeon, Basic Channel/Chain Reaction & Aphex Twin and dare I say Larry Heard productions. Realmz takes a huge step forward crossing parallels with industrial, machine made rhythms & atmospherics mixing it with Detroit techno flavor that creates a sound that is quite unique
to anything else out & around at the moment , Too hard to describe how good it is.
Music speaks louder then words so give it a listen.

Realmz has received the gold embossed seal of approval on this digital only Sonic Groove release. Coming in the months to follow Realmz will be hitting vinyl with
more tasty tough tracks. Take your time with appetizer, because dinner is going to be large. Very large… REALMZ is Sonic Groove’s Top techno pick for 2007!!!!
